Puentes de Salud provides high-quality and culturally responsive medical care to the most vulnerable in Philadelphia’s Latine immigrant community. Our clinic is nurse-managed and supported by physicians and medical students who come as volunteers and in-kind partners from various institutions across the region to serve our patients.

What We Offer

Our bilingual (Spanish/English) services focus on adult primary care and prevention, comprehensive women’s health and prenatal care.
  • Diabetes and heart health, with personalized counseling from nurses and Promotoras on sugar monitoring, nutrition, physical activity, and weight management.
  • Urgent Care and same day walk-in visits
  • Specialty clinics in collaboration with local University physician volunteers
  • Preventive screening for breast and colon cancers
  • On-site laboratory
  • Medical Case management and Complex Care Team for patients with complex medical and social service needs
  • Collaboration with on-site Promotoras and Behavior Health Counselors
  • Dental care, provided in partnership with Penn Dental Medicine. Faculty and students offer education, diagnostics, preventive care, and restorative and surgical treatments in our three-chair Dental Suite.
  • Expedited referrals for specialty care at Penn Dental are also available.

Additional Notes

  • We do not conduct exams for legal purposes (e.g., workers’ compensation or immigration cases).
  • We provide services exclusively to uninsured members of Philadelphia´s Latine immigrant community.
  • All patient information is kept confidential. Puentes follows Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines.
  • Puentes is funded entirely by grants and donations from individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing health equity and supporting immigrant communities.
  • Puentes de Salud complies with all applicable federal civil rights laws, including Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, or any other non-medically relevant factor.

Suggested Donations

  • Scheduled appointments: $30
  • Walk-ins: $30
  • Nurse Visits: $10-$20
  • Specialty Visits: $40 (requires referral from Puentes Primary Care)

Lab and Imaging tests are charged separately and are not donations.
